This document was created to give you all the important info you need to get you off to a strong & successful start with your new business!

GETTING STARTED WITH MONAT
BEFORE YOUR KIT ARRIVES - You just started a new business, there’s probably tons of things you’re feeling right now - you’re probably excited, pumped up, but a little nervous too about your new adventure with MONAT. I’m here to tell you that all of those feelings are completely normal and after you get through this getting started guide you will feel much less overwhelmed and will be ready to ROCK your business!
SO YOU JUST SIGNED UP, NOW WHAT? While you’re waiting for your kit to arrive, there is no reason to wait to start your business. Those who jump in right away, typically have the most success in the long run. You’re officially a Monat Market Partner, your website is up and active so there is no need to wait to get started! Those who wait, procrastinate & those who are the most successful dive right in, even if they don’t know what they’re doing yet! Remember, energy is contagious so the one thing I always want you to remember in this business is to be excited! =) I also want you to remember that every single one of us started right where you are, so you are not alone!
ANNOUNCE ON FACEBOOK & IG - First, you’re to want to jump on your social media accounts and announce to your friends and family that you’re starting something new that you’re really excited about! You don’t want to give them all the details and tell them what you’re doing quite yet, you just want to create some excitement and curiosity to keep them on their toes until your kit arrives. For this post, I would recommend posting a selfie along with a caption that says something like:
“I am SO excited right now! I just started something brand new that I know is going to be huge! Stay tuned for more details over the next week as I reveal my new adventure to you!”
“There are some BIG things ahead for me and I couldn’t be more excited!! I can’t reveal my new adventure quite yet, but keep an eye on my page over the next week or so for more details! I can’t wait to share more with all of you, I hope you love it as much as I do!”
“I literally never thought I’d be doing this but it’s happening & I’m soooo excited! Stay tuned for more to come, I can’t wait to share all the deets with you guys!”
LOGIN TO YOUR BACK OFFICE- To login to your back office simply visit your website which is your username.mymonat.com for example, My username is Mandi so my website is mandi.mymonat.com then click “login” and enter your username and password to access your back office. If it does not let you login right away, try again in 30-60 minutes, sometimes it takes a little bit for the system to fully register your site. In your back office you will have access to everything you’ll ever need to support you in your new business - training, business tools, reports, team and customer data and more!
I also recommend writing down your username, password, market partner ID# & your website link on a note in your phone so that you always have easy access to these until you have them memorized!
COMPLETE YOUR NEW MARKET PARTNER TRAINING - Now that you’re logged in, the first thing you’re going to want to do is complete your new market partner training in the next 24-48 hours. This is CRUCIAL, as it will answer a lot of questions that you have & help you feel more comfortable & confident with your new business! The first training course will take approximately one hour to complete so please block off an hour in your schedule over the next day or two to complete this. If you’re putting the kids to bed soon, do it right after that! The sooner you complete this, the more prepared you will feel. Again, this training will help answer a lot of your questions and help you get off to a strong start so make this a priority as soon as possible! To access the training from your back office, login and then select “Resources” at the top of the page, and then select “Market Partner Academy” from the drop down menu and it will take you to your training courses. The foundations course is the first course that you will want to complete. =) Once you’ve done your Foundations training then move on to Skill Building, then Shampoo Dealer Certified, Damage Control Certified and Glow Getter Certified next in that order next! Once you’ve completed thesetraining modules you will feel confident in getting started, have the right mindset for success & have a better understanding of our products!
MAKE YOUR CONTACTS LIST - You should’ve learned all about your contacts list in the Foundations course in the Market Partner Academy, this is a simple reminder to complete that if you haven’t yet. Your contacts list will be a HUGE part to your business and your success. Do not skip this step! Go through your phone and your facebook friends list and write down every single person that you know!
SET UP YOUR LAUNCH - You are IN business, now it’s time for the fun stuff! You will now want to set up your business launch so that your friends & family know what you’re doing and can help celebrate & support you on your new endeavor. Your launch party should be scheduled within the next two weeks, the sooner the better! Launch parties do not have to be anything crazy - invite your friends and family over, grab some wine, crackers & cheese and you are ready to rock! The next thing we’ll talk about is your getting started call. On that call, your sponsor will help you with tips for your launch party as well! If people don’t know what you’re doing and that you’re in business, then there’s no way for them to refer people to you or support you. It’s not always about who you know, it’s about who they know too - so think of it like that and remember to over invite for your launch. Everyone loves an invite & usually only about 30% of the people you invite show up so be sure to get those invites out & shoot for at least 30 invites in hopes that 8-12 people will show up!
GETTING STARTED CALL WITH SPONSOR - Once you’ve completed the Market Partner Academy Foundations training and have picked out a date for your launch party, please let your sponsor know so you can set up a getting started call with them. On this call they will answer any other questions you have, find out what your goals are, establish your why, help you make your dream team from your contacts list & come up with an ultimate game plan for rocking your business this first month! Your sponsor is your mentor, lean on them, learn from them & don’t be afraid to ask questions - always remember that you’re in business for yourself but not by yourself. Don’t be shy, they don’t know what questions you have unless you ask them & there is no such thing as a dumb question! =)
AFTER YOUR KIT ARRIVES
ANNOUNCE ON FACEBOOK & IG - Now it’s time for the BIG announcement that everyone has been waiting for! Have someone take a pic of you and your MONAT box and post that lovely gem on FB with a caption like:
“It’s here!! I know you guys have been anxiously waiting to see what my new adventure entails and it’s all inside of this box! I am OFFICIALLY a Monat Market Partner and could not be more excited for this new journey! If you. haven't tried the best haircare products in the World yet, you're missing out! DM me for a free hair consult and by doing that you'll help me learn too so it's a win/win for both of us!"
“I know you’ve been on the edge of your seats wondering what my new adventure is and the day is finally here!! =) You’re looking at the newest Monat Market Partner and I can’t wait to share these naturally based, cruelty free, vegan anti-aging products with all of you because if you haven’t tried them, you’re missing out! My hair has never looked or felt so good!”
CREATE A FACEBOOK GROUP FOR YOUR BUSINESS - Lastly, create a Facebook group for your new business. This is an exciting group where you will be posting before & after photos, specials, tips & tricks, and all things fun & exciting things to share Monat with your people! I recommend joining this Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/1072787916204310/ and copy/pasting all of these 25 posts posted in this group into your new group BEFORE you add anybody to it so that when they get invited & come view your group, they have some exciting stuff to look at, it’s not just a blank page. If you have any questions about this at all, your upline will be more than happy to help you get this all set up! Also, be sure to post consistently in this group to keep it fun & exciting for your group members!
HOLD YOUR LAUNCH PARTY - I know you scheduled it already if you were following these guidelines so be sure to follow through and host it! If your sponsor is not local, you can facetime or video conference them in to help you with your presentation! Remember that less is more, and the main focus of this event is to get the products on the people! Here’s a few tips for a successful launch party:
1.) Keep it super fun & informal - have products set out so people can try them!
2.) Have guests wash their faces with our skincare routines, wash their hair in the sink for them or have them try out our styling products! This is the fun part & the most important part - make sure you’re getting the products on the people! (Pro Tip: Take a before picture before you wash people's hair and then an after after it's dry and styled - then you can walk around the party showing everyone the before and they can see the after in real life!)
3.) Be sure to share with everyone how they can get 15% off, an additional 15-25% off, free shipping, a free product in each qualified flex ship, access to flashsales, VIP Points (USA only) & a birthday coupon with our VIP club and ask which products they’d like to get started with today & help them get their first order placed.
4.) Have a computer/laptop/tablet ready for orders
